Overview

An Employment Pass is a work permit allowing expatriates to work in Malaysia. It is mainly for senior or technically trained employees with specialised work experience who have earned higher incomes in the past.

If the hiring employer has successfully registered with the immigration authorities, an employment permit holder can work in Malaysia. Depending on the rules, employment passes may be considered for renewal.
