3. Financial support during your stay

The Home Office must be convinced that the applicant for a Tier 2 visa will be able to sustain themselves once they arrive in the UK. Thus the applicant can provide proof of financial sustainability by showing that either they or their UK-licensed sponsor has sufficient funds to cover their first month’s expenses. 

If the provision of maintenance is not acknowledged on the sponsorship letter, the applicant must demonstrate that they have £945 in their bank account for at least 90 days prior to the application date.
